休閒漁業~珊瑚礁是休閒漁業的綠洲2008/03/18

海洋中的珊瑚,有如沙漠中的綠洲一樣,提供各種生物生存所必須的養分和居所。珊瑚礁與其鄰近的開放海域相比,在生產力的差別可以達到千倍以上,因而珊瑚礁的生存也就維繫著整個生態系內數以萬計生物種類的生存。對於現代人而言,珊瑚礁也扮演著經濟上的綠州角色,因為世界上8%的人口居住在距離珊瑚礁生態系一百公里以內的區域;而環繞在珊瑚礁的觀光業所帶來的經濟利益更是相當可觀。以美國佛羅里達州的觀光營收高達25億美元,加勒比海區域則有一兆四千億美元。
最近幾年來觀光業在澳洲大保礁地區急速成長,已成為昆士蘭北部的第一大產業,每年帶來超過300萬遊客,超過15億美元的收入。同樣的以馬來西亞的西巴丹島為例,該島是全球十大潛水勝地之一,使用者大部份是愛好潛水和職業潛水者,每年帶給馬來西亞超過6億台幣的觀光收入。
西巴丹島(Sipadan)位於婆羅州島東北端附近,屬於馬來西亞沙巴州,聳立於海洋中600公尺的石灰石尖峰,遠看像一朵蘑菇;島上處處是茂密的熱帶森林約4公頃,被白色沙灘環繞著,而整個珊瑚礁約佔18公頃。在潛水人眼中,西巴丹島可以說是天堂,因為它非常袖珍,只要20分鐘就可以徒步環島一周。潛水人很容易下水,海裡的美妙景象盡收眼底,多采多姿的珊瑚礁生物保有自然風光,因此西巴丹有西太平洋「后冠上最後一顆珠寶」的美譽。然而自1974年開放給全世界潛水客觀光後,為何二十多年來仍可保有其島上叢林的原始性,而且幾乎每晚都可看到海龜上岸產卵,大型蜥蜴和椰子蟹仍然隨處可見,尤其數以千百計的金梭魚,以及體型碩大的隆頭鸚哥壯觀魚群、鯊魚和鯨鯊等也是該地常見的海洋生物。上了該島的遊客幾乎都遵守除了照相以外,不要帶走任何東西,因此台灣的潛水休閒活動應該以該島的經營管理做為借鏡,並思考如何將保育觀念灌輸給台灣潛水遊客。

休閒漁業的特色
臺灣本島及附近島嶼,擁有千變萬化的景觀及豐富的海洋生態環境。沿岸四周的海岸地形變化多端,景色雄偉壯觀、秀麗迷人,多彩多姿的海底景觀、形形色色的魚群,以及各種相關的漁業休閒活動,都是觀光旅遊的好去處。遊一趟臺灣的海岸,飽覽海天一色的蔚藍風光,讓您在敞開胸懷之餘,還能對大自然中的海洋生態有更深一層的認識。本省東部的垂直海岸,富藏深海與大洋性迴游魚類;南北兩端繁盛的珊瑚礁區,孕育著許多鮮艷動人的海水觀賞魚類;至於本省西海岸則是另一類型的沙灘或石礫灘的地形景觀,棲息著與其他海域完全不同的魚類生態。迷人的海邊,除可觀賞大自然奇特的景色;還可從事各種戶外休閒漁業活動,實是現代最佳的生活調劑場所。

地曳網(俗稱牽罟)

是一種利用潮水漲退的捕魚方法,於漲潮時 用漁筏將漁網帶到海中投放,退潮時魚群陷落 於網內,再由岸邊約四十人的「罟腳」合力拖牽網罟而得名。這種牽罟之樂,實為鍛鍊體能 、開拓胸懷的最佳活動。牽罟活動於風浪不大 的沙灘均可實行,目前本省供民眾活動的地點 有屏東縣枋山、南灣、宜蘭縣頭城及澎湖蒔里、山水、望安等地。


定置網

利用魚類逐流的特性,將網具定置於水中以遮斷魚回游路徑,使魚群沿著網具陷入箱網中 。當海流較緩時,再乘船筏至箱網旁,慢慢將 箱網捲起,隨著箱網具逐漸縮小,水面漸漸露 出魚影,當網具出水的那一刻,見魚群跳躍、鑽竄,使海水滴賤於臉上,其味道雖腥鹹,但 心中充滿喜悅。定置網漁場分佈全省,但尤以 宜蘭、花蓮最多,除颱風期外全年均可參觀, 惟礙於娛樂漁業管理辦法限制,需搭乘海約船或遊艇才能出海參觀。

是一種特有的原始捕魚設施,其先民利用礁岩在海岸砌一圓弧型磯牆,海水漲潮時,將磯 牆淹沒,魚兒隨潮入岸,游棲其中,待退潮後 ,就可享受跳浪追魚、手到擒來的摸魚之樂, 主要分佈於澎湖白沙、吉貝及苗栗外埔。





立干網



漁民於潮間帶,以主桿固定一列長網而得名 。退潮時,魚群遭漁網攔截,此時這裡就成為 最佳的淺水摸魚區,只要順著漁網走,就會有意想不到的收獲。因漁業的進步,從事此種傳統漁法的漁民已不多,主要分佈於彰化、雲林及澎湖沿海。
咕姥堆


為澎湖特有的捕魚方式,漁民於潮間帶低窪處,以咕姥石堆成陷阱,利用周而復始的潮差 來捕魚。當潮水退盡,便可於飛霞掠水、碧波 耀金中,享盡「甕中虌」的樂趣。
